Overview
As a Singapore Citizen (SC) you can use the e-service to update your passport particulars or replace your passport photograph.
Before you apply:
- To update your particulars: You must update the particulars on your Identity Card (IC) before applying for this service.
- To replace your photograph: You do not need to update your IC photograph. Select the reason "Renew passport before the last 9 months of validity" in the application form.
Application Process
Documents Required
Prepare the required documents based on the type of update you are making to your passport.

Procedure
Log in with your Singpass to complete the online application.
Fees
You must pay a non-refundable S$70 fee.
You can pay online using any of the following:
- Visa or MasterCard credit/debit card
- American Express (AMEX) credit card
- Internet Direct Debit (DBS/POSB, OCBC, UOB and Standard Chartered Bank Internet Banking accounts in Singapore)
- PayNow
Processing Time
ICA processes such applications within 1 to 2 weeks. This may take longer during peak periods. To avoid delays, please ensure your photograph and supporting documents meet the requirements (refer to Photo Guidelines).
Passport Collection
Upon receiving the approval notification via SMS or email, you will need to make appointment for your passport collection.
FAQs
You can change your name, or include a religious or married name. You will need to provide the relevant supporting documents (i.e. deed poll, religious certificate, marriage certificate). Please note that you must update the particulars on your IC before updating your passport.
Select “Renew passport before the last 9 months of validity” to update your passport particulars/photograph.
Yes, you can update your child’s passport particulars online if they are below 15 years old. You will be required to provide the relevant supporting documents. You do not need to update their IC before applying as children below 15 years old are not issued with an IC.
