Qualifying as a Transit Traveller
There are no specific requirements to transit through Singapore. You are a transit traveller if you travel to another country via Singapore without clearing Singapore arrival immigration.
You are not a transit traveller if you need to clear arrival immigration to enter Singapore. This includes entering Singapore to collect boarding pass or baggage and check in again for your connecting flight.
Several low-cost carriers require you to clear immigration to collect your onward connecting boarding pass in the Departure Check-in hall. If you need to clear immigration, you must meet all public health and entry requirements found on the Entry Requirements page.
If unsure, check with your airline if you need to clear immigration, or if you can remain in the transit area for your connecting flight.
Destination Country’s Requirements
You must check with the relevant authorities of your destination country/region for their entry requirements. They may have specific rules for travellers transiting through Singapore.
