Appeal for Singapore Citizenship/ Permanent Residence/ Long-Term Visit Pass
Back to top
You are eligible to submit an appeal through this e-Service only if you have a rejected application for Singapore Citizenship, Permanent Residence, or Long-Term Visit Pass.
If you do not have a rejected application for Singapore Citizenship, Permanent Residence, or Long-Term Visit Pass, please submit a new application and wait for the outcome. If your application is pending, please wait for the outcome.
Each appeal is assessed on its own merits. ICA considers factors such as the individual’s family ties to Singapore Citizens, economic contributions, qualifications, age, family profile, and length of residency. These help us assess the applicant’s ability to contribute to Singapore, integrate into our society, and their commitment to sinking roots.
You must submit your appeal via this e-Service. ICA does not accept appeals submitted in person, by email, or by post.
You may need to upload new documents and official translations (for documents in languages other than English) to support your appeal.
The sponsor of the rejected application must submit the appeal using Singpass. If there was no sponsor, the main applicant must submit the appeal.
If the original application was submitted without Singpass, you must submit the appeal using the same email address.
All appeals are assessed on their own merits, taking into account the specific circumstances of each case. Processing times may vary.
We will notify you of the outcome by email. You can also check your appeal status online via myICA or the e-Service.
