You must submit your new/renewal Student’s Pass application online using the e-Service at
least four weeks before your course begins.
You do not need to be in Singapore while your application is being processed. As such, we recommend you apply for a Student’s Pass before arriving in Singapore as you cannot extend your stay while processing is underway. If your application is approved,
you can then enter Singapore to complete the formalities required to issue your Student’s Pass.
You will need a local sponsor if you are applying for a Student’s Pass to study at one of these schools. The local sponsor must be a Singapore citizen (SC) or permanent resident (PR) and aged 21 or older. Companies and organisations cannot act as
sponsors.
If you have an SC or PR parent or step-parent, he/she must act as the local sponsor of your Student’s Pass application.
This application includes the following process:
- Obtain a Registration Acknowledgement Letter from the school you plan to attend.
- Log in to e-Service to complete the application forms (Form 16A – Student’s
Details, and V103 – Student’s Parents) using the unique reference number indicated on the Registration Acknowledgement Letter.
- Your local sponsor must then log in to e-Service to complete and submit forms V39s and V39Q
(Undertaking by Local Sponsor).
