As a Singapore citizen or permanent resident, you can sponsor a foreigner to stay in Singapore on a Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) if they are:
- Your spouse (if you are a Singapore citizen or a permanent resident)
- Your child (aged under 21 and unmarried) born within the context of a legal marriage, or have been legally adopted by yourself
Additionally, you must be aged above 21 to sponsor:
- Your parent
- Mother or grandmother of a child studying in Singapore on a Student's Pass
- A visitor seeking permission to give birth in Singapore
For Singapore citizen – non-resident couples
You are strongly recommended to submit a Pre-Marriage Long-Term Visit Pass Assessment (PMLA) for greater clarity on whether your foreigner bride-to-be may qualify for long-term stay in Singapore.
