Once your registration has been approved, you will be notified via SMS and email. Please make an appointment to collect your Identity Card (IC) within three months of your approval.

You may collect your IC at:

  • SingPost (if applicable); or
  • iCollect (if applicable); or
  • ICA Building.

For lost IC, you will be issued with a collection slip providing the date from which the new replacement IC will be ready for collection.

For collection of your IC, it has to be done in person and please bring along your current IC.

Please proceed to ICA Building for IC collection, if you:

  • Are applying for an IC for the first time
  • Hold a SAF 11B/ Home Team National Service IC/ digital IC/ temporary IC slip
  • Have poor-quality fingerprints or excessively wet or dry thumbs/ fingers.

There is a 14-day collection window for your IC collection. If you fail to collect your IC within 14 days from your appointment date, your IC will be returned to ICA.

Self-Service at iCollect

iCollect is a self-service machine housed on the ground floor of the ICA Building. Collection has to be done in person.

You are not eligible to use this service if you:

  • Are applying an IC for the first time
  • Hold a SAF 11B/ Home Team National Service IC/ digital IC/ temporary IC slip
  • Have lost or damaged your current IC
  • Have poor-quality fingerprints or excessively wet or dry thumbs/ fingers.

Note: New Singapore Permanent Residents can check if they are eligible when they attempt to book an online e-Appointment.

You are strongly encouraged to make an appointment to collect your new IC in person at:

Operating hours are 8.00 am - 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays, and 8.00 am - 12.30 pm on Saturdays.

Please be punctual for your appointment to avoid longer-than-average waiting times on the following peak periods:

  • Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays
  • School holidays
  • The day before or after a public holiday.
