Collect Identity Card

Once your application has been approved, you will be notified via email or by post. Please make an appointment to collect your Identity Card (IC) within three months of approval.

You may collect your IC at:

  • SingPost (if applicable); or
  • ICA Building

For online applications to replace lost IC, you will receive an email notification once the replacement IC is ready for collection. For applications over the ICA counter, you will receive a collection slip.


Selected Post Offices

You can refer to SingPost website to view the list of participating post offices.

For collection of your IC, it has to be done in person and please bring along your current IC.

Please proceed to ICA Building for IC collection, if you:

  • Are applying for an IC for the first time
  • Have poor-quality fingerprints or excessively wet or dry thumbs/ fingers

If you fail to collect your IC within 4 days from your appointment date, your IC will be returned to ICA. You will not be able to make another appointment for collection at the post offices.

You are strongly encouraged to make an appointment to collect your new IC in person at:

Operating hours are 8.00 am - 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays, and 8.00 am - 12.30 pm on Saturdays.

Please be punctual for your appointment to avoid longer-than-average waiting times on the following peak periods:

  • Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays
  • School holidays
  • The day before or after a public holiday.
