If your Singapore Citizenship Certificate is lost or damaged, you can apply for a replacement by submitting a request in writing and completing a statutory declaration.


Documents Required

Translations provided by the embassy of the country that issued the document. Translations produced by a notary public in Singapore or the country that issued the document. Privately created translations attested by the embassy of the country that issued the document, or notarised by a notary public in Singapore or the country that issued the document.

You will need the following documents:

  • Your Identity Card
  • Your birth certificate (the original document and a photocopy)
  • Your recent passport-sized, colour photograph taken within the last three months. Please see Photo Guidelines for information on photo requirements.
  • A letter requesting a replacement Citizenship Certificate
  • A completed statutory declaration, available at the Registry of Citizens, Citizen Services Centre in ICA Building (address below).

Operating hours are 8.00 am to 4.30 pm from Mondays to Fridays, and 8.00 am to 12.30 pm on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.

Note: Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian when applying for and collecting a replacement certificate.


Fees

A S$20 fee can be made using either:

  • NETS or NETS FlashPay,
  • Visa or MasterCard credit / debit card, 
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay / Samsung Pay, or 
  • DBS PayLah! / OCBC Pay Anyone / UOB Mighty.

Processing Time

Your replacement certificate will be ready for collection within two weeks of your request.
