Trusted Traveller Programme To Facilitate Immigration Clearance For Citizens Of Singapore And The United States Of America
With effect from Monday, 27 June 2016, Singapore and the United States of America (US) will offer the Singapore - US Trusted Traveller Programme (TTP), a bilateral initiative which allows eligible citizens of Singapore and the US to enjoy convenient immigration clearance via automated clearance facilities at their respective major traveller checkpoints. With the TTP, Singapore and the US hopes to enhance trade, business and tourism links between both countries.
2. The US’ Global Entry Programme (GEP), which is part of the TTP, offers eligible applicants expedited clearance at selected US airports. Singapore passport holders who meet the prevailing eligibility criteria for the TTP may make an online application via the GEP website at www.cbp.gov. After an application has been submitted and processed, successful applicants will receive a notification to schedule an in-person interview at a Global Entry Enrolment Centre at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore. More information on the TTP and its eligibility criteria are available at www.cbp.gov.
3. Similarly, US passport holders will be eligible to apply for the use of enhanced-Immigration Automated Clearance System (eIACS) in Singapore. US passport holders aged six and above who have a valid GEP membership and meet the prevailing eligibility criteria may apply online with the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). Approved applicants will receive a notification of their application outcome and they will be advised on the completion of enrolment procedures.
