ICA’s Participation In Islandwide Multi-Agency Counter-Terrorism Exercise On 17 And 18 October 2016

On 17 and 18 October 2016, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) participated in an islandwide multi-agency counter-terrorism exercise, which was led by the Singapore Police Force (SPF). The exercise was designed to prepare the Home Team agencies, the Singapore Armed Forces, and the community for emergency incidents such as multiple terror attacks in Singapore.

2.         During the exercise, ICA officers at Tuas and Woodlands checkpoints stepped up their security checks on travellers and vehicles, so as to detect and intercept “perpetrators”.

3.         Security at our checkpoints is one of ICA’s top priorities. This exercise served to validate ICA’s operational plans and security procedures at our checkpoints.

4.         For additional information on the exercise, please refer to SPF’s news release on 18 October 2016.
