Emergency Exercise At Tuas Checkpoint
The Singapore Civil Defence Force and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority will be conducting a joint emergency exercise at the Tuas Checkpoint on Wednesday, 31 January 2007 from midnight to 02:00 am.
2. This emergency exercise, which will also involve the Police, is part of a continual effort by the Home Team to sharpen and enhance the operational readiness of its emergency responders.
3. During the exercise, roads leading to the Tuas Checkpoint will not be affected. The checkpoint will also remain open during the exercise. However, there will be movement of many emergency appliances and equipment in the vicinity. The public is advised not to be alarmed. Any inconvenience caused is also regretted.
4. As this is a closed-door exercise, no media coverage on site is required. This News Release is for immediate dissemination, please.
