ICA Recalls Passports For Verification Over Printing Problem (An Update)
On 8 June 2011, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) reported on a technical glitch which affected a batch of 1,280 passports issued between 23 May and 3 June 2011.
2 The ICA has contacted almost all the affected passport holders, and has sent letters to those who cannot be reached by phone. As of 8pm today, a total of 647 Singaporeans have had their passports verified and rectified.
3 We thank those who have come forward and strongly urge the remaining passport holders to come to the ICA Building as soon as possible. Dedicated counters are set up on level 3 of the ICA Building, to handle those with affected passports. We will be open from 8.00 am to 3.00pm tomorrow and 8.00am to 8.00pm from Monday to Friday. All affected passports will be corrected on the spot.
