About Integrated Checkpoints Command

The Integrated Checkpoints Command (ICC) was first launched on 2 January 2015 at the Land Domain as part of the Home Team’s continuous efforts to enhance Singapore’s checkpoints security.

 2.        Over the years, we have enhanced our checkpoints security model to keep pace with evolving threats and the changing operating environment.  In April 2003, the Singapore Immigration & Registration (SIR) and the checkpoints operations of Customs & Excise Department (CED) merged to form the current ICA. This brought about the harmonisation of immigration and customs operations at all our air, land and sea checkpoints.

3.         On 2 January 2015, the Home Team further enhanced its checkpoints operations by introducing the ICC at the Land Domain. This was followed by the ICC at Sea Domain on 1 April 2015, and the Air Domain on 1 October 2015. Each Domain has its own Domain Commander who is responsible for all Home Team checkpoints operations within the domain. All three Domain Commanders report to Commissioner ICA.

4.         Implemented in phases, the ICC is established to further strengthen the co-ordination among the Home Team agencies under a unified command and control structure. This model will achieve greater operational co-ordination and provide clearer lines of responsibility and command for the Home Team officers working together at the checkpoints.
