ICA is conducting a trial at selected immigration counters at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints to scan travellers’ iris images (in addition to fingerprint verification) during immigration clearance. The trials will help us in our consideration of whether and how we should implement such technology at our checkpoints.
