Advisory On Scam Calls

The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) is aware that some members of the public have received calls on seemingly ICA-related issues. Some of these calls were made through an automated operator system. Members of the public may be asked to collect documents or parcels from ICA, submit documents to ICA, or provide personal particulars for investigation purposes or application of immigration facilities.

2.       The ICA would like to clarify that these calls were not made by our officers. We have made a police report. Members of the public are advised to take the following precautions when they receive such calls:

-           Ignore such calls and the caller’s instructions; and
-           Do not provide personal information such as your name, identification number, passport details, contact details, or banking and credit card details.

3.         ICA takes a serious view of such scam calls as it undermines public trust in ICA. Members of the public can seek scam-related advice by calling the anti-scam helpline at 1800-722-6688 or go to www.scamalert.sg. You are also encouraged to help spread the word and share this advisory with your family and friends to prevent them from being the next victim of scam.
