A social visit pass is issued at the point of entry to any person who is eligible for entry into Singapore for tourism, social visit or medical treatment. Every visit pass issued to any person shall be subject to the condition that the holder shall not engage in any form of employment (paid or unpaid), or in any business, profession or occupation in Singapore during the validity of that pass unless he is a holder of a valid work pass issued under the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act 1990.

Extension of Stay

Visitors who need to stay beyond the Visit Pass granted to them (but generally not more than 89 days from the date of entry) may submit an application for extension of stay using the e-Service. This facility is only applicable to Visit Pass issued by ICA. For work-related matters or passes issued by Ministry of Manpower (MOM) (e.g. extension of stay for confinement nannies or ex-Work Pass holders), you may email MOM at mom_wpd@mom.gov.sg for assistance.

Application for extension of stay will only be accepted online using the e-Service, and you are advised to submit the application seven days before the expiry of the visit pass to avoid overstaying. To ascertain the validity of your visit pass, you may check the visit pass validity tool.
