As an ICA Sergeant, you are part of the Home Team in safeguarding Singapore's safety and security. You are responsible for ensuring legitimate and lawful movement of people, goods and conveyances through our borders. Be challenged to think on your feet to protect, secure and inspire lives.

Training

To prepare for a career as an ICA Sergeant, you will undergo a 20-week non-residential ICA Basic Course (Sergeant) at the Home Team Academy.

Job Deployment

You will be deployed at one of the Commands – Woodlands, Tuas or Coastal Command for your foundational posting. As part of career development, you will be exposed to different ICA job functions, including specialised functions such as Radiographic Image Analyst, Security Sensitive Materials Officer, First Response Team Officer. There are also opportunities for postings to the Air and Sea Domains, staff units and overseas job postings.
