All lawful residents in Singapore who are of the age of 15 years old are required to register for their first Identity Card (IC). Re-registration is at the age of 30 years and 55 years. This is in accordance to the National Registration Act and Regulations.
In addition to administering the above, ICA also processes replacement ICs due to loss, damaged or change of particulars.
For the change of address, an IC holder is required to report the change to ICA or at the Neighbourhood Police Centres / Neighbourhood Police Posts within 28 days from the date of shifting into a new premise.
