From 29 June 2018, Singaporean parents have an additional and more convenient channel to register their child's birth and apply for Baby Bonus at the same time using the "Moments of Life" app (renamed as "LifeSG" from 19 August 2020).
The app was developed under the Smart Nation initiative to support citizens at different moments of their life by bundling government services across different agencies.
The Moments of Life app is available to the following users:
- One parent is a Singapore citizen;
- Both parents’ have a Singpass account;
- Parents’ marriage is registered in Singapore at the time of child’s birth.
- The baby is born at any of the hospitals gazetted as birth registration centres.
Parents can choose to collect the birth certificate at the hospital where the baby was born, or at ICA Registry of Births and Deaths.
