As a Singaporean travelling overseas, you should note the following:
Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months before departure. It should be in good condition – pages are not torn or missing, lamination is intact (for passports issued before 18 Oct 1999) etc. A passport which appears to have been tampered with could inconvenience you at a foreign airport, including refusal of entry.
Ensure that you have the required entry visa to the country that you are travelling to. You may visit the MFA Consular Homepage
to obtain information on visa requirements and overseas consular offices.
Check your passport and endorsements upon arrival to and departure from the place of visit. If there is any discrepancy found, you should liaise with the Police or immigration authority in the foreign country.
