As a HAS-ICA Senior Officer, you are responsible for the following:

  • Implementation and enforcement of the laws, regulations and policies of the various work of the Department; and 
  • The management and operation of the various branches/commands under the Department.

Remuneration and Benefits

Qualifications Starting Salary Range
Assistant Superintendent
1st Class Honours Degree $3,406 to $3,921
2nd Upper Class Honours Degree $3,200 to $3,715
Inspector
Qualifications Starting Salary Range
Other Honours Degree $2,950 to $3,430
Pass Degree (with Merit) $2,750 to $3,230
Pass Degree $2,550 to $3,030

Training Programme after Appointment
Successful applicants will undergo a 10-week training programme.


Job Deployment after Training

Upon appointment, you will be deployed to one of the Checkpoint Commands eg. at Woodlands, Tuas or the Singapore Cruise Centre.  Officers deployed at the checkpoints are rostered to work in three shifts.  They are also required to wear uniform while on duty.

As part of officers' career posting and greater exposure to ICA's line operations, officers with suitable aptitude may be deployed to perform enforcement-related work which includes the conducting of raids, surprise checks on illegal immigrants, participation in operations on land or sea against smugglers, ship rummaging, contraband detection and investigations.  Officers may also be deployed to the Services Centres to assess applications for travel documents, permanent residence, citizenship, identity cards or other passes/permits.
